Michael Jackson's Final Farewell Gift

If anyone ever doubted that Michael Jackson loved being and entertainer, loved his fans and loved California, all doubts should finally be put to ease.
If anyone ever doubted that California was the true Entertainment Capital, those doubts too should be put to rest. Not only are the popular entertainers and the not so popular entertainers providing us with shows and various forms of entertainment, but the Politicains, the media, businesses and law enforcement too provide us with their own various forms of entertainment.
Lets look at the reality! California is cashing in on the passing of one of the most prominent and well loved entertainers of all time. However, our beloved California anounced last week that the state is broke and that IOU's will be paid out to vendors and those receiving State Aid such as State Disability (a tax taken from our paychecks), instead of checks they owe. They are doing it without the bat of an eye and no apology to the people for not being able to decide on a budget. In addition State Workers (some that is) and offices will have to close down an additional Friday, bringing the total up to 3 Fridays per month that some services like DMV are not available. Might as well make it a month of Fridays.
The sad reality to it all is that when we get our paychecks, we can't say " Oh wait California, don't take that disability tax this week, let me just issue an IOU".
Then there's out sympathetic Counsilwoman Ms. Perry, who basically expressed her concerns on two occassions (the Laker Parade & the Michael Jackson Memorial), that the city is short on funds and that it's going to cost a bundle to provide police protection and presense at these events. Fans were basically told they may as well, if they don't have tickets to the Memorial to sit at home and watch it.
Add all of that to the media announcement of the Memorial and how tickets would be dispersed with instructions to register on-line in a lottery type setting, it makes you wonder, will California survive financially?
Well don't shed tears for California just yet. Let's take a look at what Michael Jackson gave us. When the announcement of the Memorial tickets came out, there were an estimated 1.6 million people worldwide who applied. The site basically said at the bottom of it during the application process, open to US residents only. However, that did change into a Worldwide acceptance of applications to allow Michaels fans across to globe to participate. But it's a little bigger than that.
The media then announced through television news, online news and other forms of publications that an estimated 750,000 people were expected to travel to California for the event. Now those who were lucky enough to win would certainly have to get to California by Monday to claim their wristbands. So, we ask ourselves, if 750,000 people are expected to arrive in LA, won't that bring revenue to the State via airlines, travel, hotels, attractions, restaurants, shopping and entertainment? Let's not forget about transportation.
And then we have the actual residents of LA in which probably only a hand full won tickets will celebrate as we normally do whenever there's something to celebrate. Won't the residents, the state of California tax payers contribute to the revenue by gathering at places where the Memorial will be seen via big screen? Won't the residents buy drinks, buy food and memorbilia in their attempt to be a part of the going home ceramony? The answer to all of those questions is, of course California will bring in mega bucks. That is Michaels gift to California. California has always and will continue to prosper off Michael Jackson.
Then we look at the media and how virtually every major and not so major network has broadcasted everything from the time Michael went to the hospital and still continue to broadcast. I went to the Staples Center on Friday and you could not walk on the sidewalk a block before even arriving at the center because media trucks were parked on the sidewalks, camping out as if they were at a summitt. I'm sure their ratings have gone through the roof and of course ultimately driving up their reveue. As a matter of fact, NBC who originally stated that they would not broadcast the memorial quickly changed their minds when realizing that this was a capitalistic opportunity to cash in.
So, now what? The budget has not been agreed upon by the State, but I'm pretty sure that folliwing this event and after counting how much money the State raked in, a budget will be set. Afterall, taxe from every business will have to be paid to the State for their increased revenue from the Memorial.
Politicians of California and Ms. Perry, I say shame on you. Shame one the State for issuing IOU's to those who have been faithful to California instead of diverting this crisis before it happened. How about streamlining the aid you are giving to those who never paid a tax in their life. Shame on you for doing such an aweful thing to the people who supported this State. Not just the businesses, but the individuals who work hard every single day. And, those businesses that have not taken their money in an attempt to not pay taxes. What about those businesses that are ripping the State off by foregoing taxes and sending their work overseas, just to avoid paying payroll taxes and State taxes?
And, Counselwoman, shame on you. You should be applauding everyone willing to travel here for this event in addition to the residents for helping the city of LA generate revenue. Shame on you for not giving us the positive facts on how LA will gain revenue via all the venues available in that area. Shame on you for telling the residents in a non sympathetic warning to stay at home. Shame on you for begging for help to pay for this. Shame on you for making the fans of the Lakers and Michael Jackson feel guilty for wanting to be a part of the festivities.
The Laker parade Ms. Perry was our right as a city. You attempted to take that away over money. But what about all the money made by fans buying Laker tickets, all the venues Laker fans spent money at in the Staple area everytime there was a game. All the money made on other fans across the US who traveled here to cheer their teams on when they played the Lakers. Shame on you for telling us how much it's going to cost, but not telling us how much was made. Let us not forget all the parking that has to be paid for just for coming into LA because of course there is no where to park. And, to avoid parking, what about the boost in revenue to the trains and bus systems. Ms. Perry, you should be thanking us.
LA owes the fans a chance to grieve without the guilt that you continuously impose upon us.
And, to the media, shame, shame shame on you. You are the very one's who have tried for over 20 years to defame Michael Jackson. You repeatedly reported everything negative and manipulated the world about not only an entertainer, but a father, a man and just in general a great human. A human who has given more than you the media has given. You tried to break not only Michael, but his spirit as well and ou continue to do so while cashing in on it at the same time.
In closing, I'd like to Thank Michael Jackson as I'm sure all his fans are. Michael, I know you hear us and have always heard us. You have heard our cries, our need for help to those who could not help themselves, our need to be bonded in empathy and compassion. You bonded a world with charity, laughter and amazingly great times. You bonded us with the true art of your entertainment and we than you. I know Mr. Michael Jackson that you will always be with us as you have left something that many people only dream they could leave upon their parting, and that was a legacy.
We Thank you, the man, the entertainer and the humanitarian. Thank you for your final farewell gift to us. And, to all the fans, regardless of what the Politicians and media have stated, I urge you to ignore the negativity and on Tuesday as said by Prince "Party like it's 1999". Michael Jackson is worthy of this and it is the least would could do to show our gratitude.

Safe Hydrotherapy Experiences

Happy 4th of July Everyone & Welcome Back
As you have been following, you'll remember that I have been talking about hydrotherapy and the results of hydrotherapy in my previous blogs. I also touched on creating the serene hydrotherapy environment. This will be my last blog session on hydrotherapy. Going forward after this last hydrotherapy, I will discuss colors and what they mean. Be sure to check back to read my color revelation guide. But for now, I'm going to finish the hydrotherapy session up with safety.
There are safety precautions you should take when using hydrotherapy.
1. Never sit in water hotter than you can physically stand to prevent scalding
2. Do not use hydrotherapy if you suffer hypertension
3. Drink lots of water during and after to prevent dehydration as with hydrotherapy you will sweat all your fluids out
4. If you are not use to hydrotherapy, start out by soaking for only 5 minutes and then increase to longer periods
5. When standing up, use caution to prevent slips and falls, especially if you are a newbie as you may experience dizziness.
These are the main precautions to take when indulging in hydrotherapy. Especially if you are new to the procedure. Believe me, I learned the hard way. My very first attempt to indulge in hydrotherapy, I of course thought I was prepared, especially with my handy dandy book Heal Thyself for Health & Longevity
Unfortunately, I just read the actual procedure part and of course as we most do, not the warning part. Needless to say, now looking back on it is quite humorous but at the time, it wasn't too funny.
I ran my water as hot as I could stand it and put my pure lavandar oil in the water. I then eased myself in and layed back. Like the book said, I elevated my feet at a 45 degree angle, closed my eyes and relaxed. I was so amazed at the sweat that came pouring out of me and was excited because I just knew I lost 10 pounds. The only problem was, I did not drink any water what so ever. So, when I stood up to get out, I got so dizzy and I was extremely over heated.
I eased my way out the tub and quickly stepped out the hot bathroom into the hall to get to cool air. I grabbed my book and read a little more to the warnings and by golly, there it was big as day, "DRINK PLENTY OF WATER TO REPLACE BODILY FLUIDS". So, not even bothering to get dressed or dry off, I eased my dizzy self to the kitchen, which I must say insulted my kids by having to look at my undressed body (but I didn't care at that point as it was an emergency), and once in the kitchen, I immediately gulped down 3 cups of water and immediately felt better.
My lesson from this experience was to always read all the way through when you are taking on new healing regimes, and keep a glass of water next to me and drink it while relaxing in my hydrotherapy treatment.
As a special treat, I'm going to share with you one of my favorite places to get all natural, all green beauty supplies and hydrotherapy treats. You may have noticed the banner at the top of my blog. Reasons For What I'm Doing
Welcome Back,
I thought now would be a great time as some of you have become familiar with my blogs to share with you why I'm doing what I do.
There are several reasons, however the primary being a campaign for Youth Entreprenuer. I have embarked on a journey which came to me about 5 years ago while I suffered a life altering seizure. It was confirmed when I looked at my daughters and saw things from not a mother's perspective but from that of a human.
Thus, I began my plans for a Non Profit Organization called Youth Entreprenuer, dedicated to helpin minority children develop and successfully operate their own business based on their own unique passions.
I used my daughters as guinne pigs and started the program unofficially with them. My oldest daughter loves skateboards, thus started her own skateboard business. As a mother I had no idea that this girl was so knowledgeable about skateboards. In addition, her art and drawings are only an enhancement to her business as she develops skins and designs for boards.
Basically, she is in the beginning stages of her planning and marketing strategies, but as I started assisting her, we knew that this was totally obtainable and that she could do it and have her own business at the age of 15 and that it could be very successful.
This started me thinking that if I'm able to show my daughter how to gain an independence and life long self sufficiency, then others could follow. Thus, I began recruiting, planning and getting all the legalities in order. My main obstacle is that all is being self funded by me. So, I decided that if I build a website based on my fashion passion and my passion for retail sales, I'd raise the money in addition to giving the kids a hands on experience where they can actually get paid for learning. However, they must invest 70% of their income in an interest earning money market account which allows them the opportunity to have their own money for college or simply continuing to invest in their business.
Therefore, every blog I post, every link back to www.stylishdivafashions.com , every social network I join is with the sole intent to drive people to www.stylishdivafashions.com and with the intent on offering quality products that my followers will actually purchase. In addition, with every converted click from all who visit my website, 70% of the proceeds go to Youth Entreprenuer.
So, I appreciate everyone who joins and follows and appreciate those who go to www.stylishdivafashions.com and browse through. Please also note that you will see banner ads on the top of this page and our other blogs and these are a part of our affiliate partner programs which is just another way of bringing in the income. So, be sure to click on the one's that interest you and help us get these kids in a better life position.
Thanks again

Creating A Serene Hydrotherapy Environment
Thank you for joining me as we continue to embark on our journey regarding hydrotherapy and ridding yourself of stress. If, you read my last blog, you will remember me talking about creating a serene environment in your bathroom prior to your hydrotherapy treatment.
Here are a few ways I create that perfect atmosphere in which I can relax and enjoy my hydrotherapy experience.
1. Soy based candles
2. Soothing Classical or Smooth Jazz Music
3. A Luscious Green Fern Plant
4. Energizing Colors such as green
5. Royal Colors such as purple
Now, I'm going to talk about how item number 1 on my list works in conjunction with hydrotherapy. My favorite candles are from DiamondCreek Candles as seen in the banner above. Specifically because they offer a huge variety, they are made of soy/paraffin and they are hand poured. I enjoy the lingering and luscious scents they put off which works very well in conjunction with hydrotherapy. There are so many hydro/aromatherapy ways to develop that special atmosphere for relaxation and for energizing.
When picking my candles from DiamondCreek, I find it easy and not at all complex as they have a section dedicated specifically for aromatherapy and they are so great, they even inform you of what each scent assists you with. For example, I mentioned above that I decide on colors that represent energy (green) and royalty(purple). Well, my normal purchase then for relaxation and sticking to my color is the Lavender (Diamond Candle). It represents the royalty in it's coloring and assists with Flu, Depression, Insomnia & Hypertension.
Therefore, this is the perfect combination for my relaxation hydrotherapy because if you remember from a previous post, I mentioned that I also use pure lavander oil in the bath.
In addition, I'm very partial to the Basil Sage Mint (Aroma Diamond Candle)in the morning to awaken and uplift me, which goes very well with the eucalyptus oil mentioned earlier.
I invite you to come back later this week when I introduce the other points I mentioned above for creating that serene bathroom environment. In the meantime, don't forget to go to www.stylishdivafashions.com to get your free book Heal Thyself for Health and Longevity. This book will take you to new heights of wellness which is why I'm giving it away for free to the first 5 people to join the website club.
I look forward to seeing you all again as we discuss relaxation and healthy habits for feeling designer on the inside as well as looking designer on the outside.
Be sure to check out www.stylishdivafashions.com partner page for our special tribute to Michael Jackson.
Warm Regards,

Amazing Results
Welcome Back Everyone,
If you read my last blog, you will remember me mentioning how using hydrotherapy in a quick and easy manner helps reduce stress and actually assists in the body detox process. However, my hydrotherapy routines don't just offer relaxation, but also offers energy.
I must admit that I'm one of the worst morning people in the world. In order for me to get going, there must be a cup of coffee. Healthy Right? Perhaps not but it sure gets me going and with all the available flavors and types of coffee on the market today, they sure taste great. However, I really needed to find a way to get going in the mornings other than relying on coffee.
So, I turned to my wonderful book shown above, Heal Thyself for Health and Longevity and began searching for an answer. And, not only did I find the answer, but also found a quick and easy remedy. In addition, the answer was extremely educational in offering other tips.
Once again, a form of hydrotherapy was the solution. Here's how my book helped me to get my mojo flowing in the morning and hopoefully it can help you too.
Upon waking up in the morning, take a shower. Easy enough right? And, of course it should be something we all do anyway. However, the magical trick to these showers is using eucalyptus oil as mentioned in the book. Basically, step into a nice shower with the water not hot, not cold but comfortably cool. While washing, take a couple of drops of pure eucalyptus oil and bathe with it. That's it! Quick easy and simple.
Now, I'm sure you are asking what such a simple and quick tip can do to restore you and your energy right? Well in order to answer that question, you need to know the benefits of eucalyptus oil. First of all eucalyptus is commonly used for medicinal purposes in other parts of the world. It is believed and proven to have antiseptic healing properties. In addition, it serves as an aromatherapy providing treatment to bronchial problems and increases cardiac action.
With that being said, its only natural that showering with a tiny bit of this oil awakens your senses. Now, I must describe how it makes me feel in the morning. As soon as I'm in te shower opening my jar of eucalyptus, the aroma escapes and immediately I feel a revitalization of my senses. In addition, I'm able to breathe better, which is great because like many people, I suffer from sinus congestion at night. Also, the ability to breath easier allows the oxygen to flow to my brain better, offering me vitality and a feeling of being able to think better.
Once the oil touches my body and the aroma begins to work with the cool shower, I'm immediately awaken. That's it. Simple and to the point.
As previously mentioned, after reading Heal Thyself for Health and Longevity, my knowledge of oils and eucalyptus in particular during this phase became wiser. What I mean is that the book pointed out not just one way for me to use the oil, but other ways as well. My favorite happens to be placing the eucalyptus oil in an oil burner at night before going to bed and letting the scent fill my home. It offers a wonderful air cleansing scent, opens up those nasal passages allowing a better nights rest and simply makes your home smell delightful.
In addition, I found that when I burn it, it keeps the insects away and rubbing a little on an insect bite or simple wound helps to heal the skin. And, for us women, it helps to relieve cramps.
Because eucalyptus is so strong, it should never ever be used undiluted on babies and small children. It should also be avoided with those who suffer from high blood pressure. Eucalyptus is one of the most powerful and effective oils.
I do hope everyone reading this will try and feel the amazing difference eucalyptus oil makes. I'm also hoping everyone will get the book Heal Thyself for Health and Longevity. As a matter of fact, I'm such a believer in this book, I'm giving it away at www.stylishdivafashions.com to the first five people who visit and click join to sign up.
There's no catch, no purchase required and no shipping charges. Completely free for the first five. And, for those who are not the first five, you can get your hands on this amazing book by click the book above or by going straight to www.stylishdivafashions.com.
Thanks again for joining me and reading my blog and I hope to see everyone next time as I share more of my experiences with better health and stylish fashion.

Look Good Wearing It Feel Good Living It
So, we all know how great we feel and look when we wear that special outfit or amazing pair of shoes. It's as if we are floating on an air of confidence. We look good and know it. Clothing can do amazing wonders for a person's self esteem. And, put it together with that perfect hair style and the amazing make over, what could be better?
Well, be it important for us to feel great and look great on the outside, it's even more important to take care of what is on the inside. Taking care of the mind, body and spirit in addition to your physical appearance is a feeling so few people know. Most often, we tend to focus all our energies on either the physical or the well-being of the body as a whole.
The major reason we only focus on one key factor is that most often we have the misconception that we do not have enough time thus we deal with what we believe is more important. And, of course as individuals we all have things in our lives that take priority over other things.
However, caring for the inner self is not as difficult nor as time consuming as most people make it out to be. This was an amazing lesson I had to learn through some very life altering events. How did I do it? Well, I took baby steps and I'm anxious to share with you my journey of inner well-being.
One of the best things that ever happened upon me were a couple of tools that I used faithfully. They covered every aspect of what I wanted to heal. These tools covered my mind, body, home, health and spiritual well being. These tools were actually the books pictured above. I used these books when first starting out and continue to use them daily. I'm 41 years old and with the use of these books, I look as if I'm in my early 30's. So, let's go over what worked for me step by step and hopefully you can take some of these tips and apply them to your well-being. Please keep in mind that I'm sharing these tips that worked for me and this is not to be considered professional medical advice. As with any health and well being endeavor, it is always best to speak to your doctor to ensure whatever program you begin is safe for you.
Step 1 - The first thing I did was a colon cleanse. The product I used was Dr. Natura found online at http://www.drnatura.com/colonix_program.php . My primary reason for doing a colon cleanse was initially to loose weight. However, when I went to the actual severely graphic and enlightening website, it really endorsed other aspects of my health I wanted to deal with such as constant fatigue, better eating habits, healthier skin, hair and nails only to mention a few. After ordering and receiving my products, I stayed on the program for 30 days, which allowed me to study step 2. But, while on the program, here are the benefits that I noticed immediately.
It was not very time consuming to follow the program
Within the first 5 days, I felt less fatigued
Within the first 10 days I became more regular
Within the first 10 days, my water intake increased tremendously
Within the first 10 days I lost 8 pounds
Within the first 10 days I no longer craved certain foods such as meats
By the end of the 30 days, my entire eating habit changed for the better
At 30 days I shed 26 pounds
At 30 days, I received compliments on how healthy I looked
Again, be very aware that when going to http://www.drnatura.com/colonix_program.php, that you will see very graphic images on how this program detoxes your body system. However, also make sure you read the many reviews from the dozens of satisfied customers. And now, on to step 2.
Step 2 - Well, after such an amazing journey over the past 30 day detox program, I just really wanted to maintain that healthy feeling and look. So, during the time I was detoxing, I began reading an amazing book that I have shown above called "Heal Thyself for Health and Longevity by Queen Afua. I really can not say enough about this book except for that it changed my life forever.
And, I must admit that I have mentioned this book to every woman in my family and because of my big mouth, have purchased the book at least 17 times within a year. Mainly because after everyone had seen and noticed the difference in me, they wanted the secret. And, being the person I am, I'd give them my copy. I even had a lady steal a copy from me on the plane while on vacation as I let her read it while we were traveling.
However, moving along about this book and what it taught me. First and foremost, it taught me that our body is a temple as well as our home. And, that with any new endeavor, it takes preparation in order to master it. But, with this book, the preparation was simple because there are so many things we all have at home that allows us to implement many of the tips in the books.
I'm not going into the entire healing process I took, but I will share with you in this blog my favorite step and how I started. As I continue to post more blogs, I will go through the other steps as well, but your best source is to actually get the book.
It is always easy to start a program based on things that are easy to do. Which is what I'm primarily guilty of. Basically, we all figure that our lives are so full, we just don't have the time for complications and of course we all want immediate gratification. Well, hydrotherapy for me was the easiest thing to start with. With the assistance of Heal Thyself for Health and Longevity, I followed the steps that Queen Afua outlined. The reason hydrotherapy was so very easy for me was because it was something I already did. Actually, it's something we all do in our need to feel clean. We all take baths and showers.
Hydrotherapy on a deeper level however, offered me relaxation, detoxing, less stress and an amazing feeling of cleanliness. Queen Afua basically suggested a few items to help achieve the deepest level of a hydrotherapy experience and it was easy for me to obtain these items because I already loved the items suggested. My favorites were the oils. However, I learned that the quality of oils make a huge difference and the type of oil has various results.
For example, my days were always so full that when arriving home after a long work day, I'd have problems unwinding and going to sleep. Thus with the help of the hydrotherapy session, I discovered that all of those issues could be resolved with Lavendar oil. Now, I get my oils from www.scentoils.com because they are local, pure and uncut, sell in quantity for a great price and they offer a huge variety. Outlined below is just one of my quick hydrotherapy techniques, but keep in mind that I use many techniques as outlined in the book.
A. Make the bathroom serene
1. Light white unscented candles
2. Turn of the lights
3. Have a plant in your bathroom such as a fern
4. Have a battery operated CD player and smooth jazz or classical CD's
5. Run a bathtub full of water as hot as you can stand it
6. After the tub is full, add approx. 7 drops of pure lavendar oil
7. While playing the soothing music, ease into the tub and lay back
8. Raise your legs to approx. a 45 degree angle
9. Now close your eyes and let the music consume your mind
10. Relax in this state for approx. 15 minutes
11. You will notice yourself perspiring which is good as your body is detoxing
12. After 10 minutes or longer if you are more stressed, let the water out
13. Now run your shower with cool water (not cold) and stand for 2 minutes
14. This will close your pores back up and keep you from catching colds
15. And, you are finished, you should be able to sleep well.
It is important to drink plenty of water while doing this as your body perspires, you will lose fluids which should be replaced and it enhances the detox.
As you become famil;iar with the book, you will learn other techniques, but this is the quickest for releasing stress and it's as previously mentioned, something we all do on a normal basis.

Betsey Johnson Mary Jane Pumps Sheer Delight

About 2 years ago, I discovered shoes that took on a whole new sense of fashions and style. It was like being in shoe heaven as I scrolled through page after page of the unique, elegant and beautiful Betsey Johnson Shoes.
One of the things that suprised me was my inability to find these fabulous shoes in the stores. Since I live in Southern California, I thought it would be pretty easy to find them here, however the more I asked about them, the less retailers knew. But, when I spoke with relatives in New York, it seemed as if eveyone knew of them.
I wanted a pair of them so bad, especially the Betsey Johnson Camel Mary Jane Pumps. When I saw those, it was love at first site. The thing that intrigued me most about the Mary Jane Pumps were the incorporating of Retor into Modern. For example, the Mary Janes I remember from years ago were always black, always flat heeled and basically plain Janes (pardon the pun).
But the new Betsey Johnson Mary Janes are sheer delights. The first major new attraction of these old favorites are the heels. The heels have gone from plain flats to 3 3/4 inch elegance. Then of course the camel color and the patent leather material giving it a modern shine with quality. The actual shoe is then topped with a large frilly bow strap, replacing the plain original strap. And, top this all off with perforated accents at the collar and bold cut out patterns on the body of the shoe and what you have is sheer delight. In addition, these beautiful shoes assured me of the authenticity by displaying the signature pink leather sole that only Betsey Johnson Shoes have.
Betsey Johnson named these beauties Betsey Johnson Terra Mary Jane Pumps and they could not have a better name. When I finally got my hands on these shoes and placed them on my feet, I was amazed at the comfort and my ability to wear heels this high and stay on them all day.
The versatility of these shoes were yet only another reasons I fell in love with them. I'm able to wear them to the office with a tan, beige or black A-Line skirt and then step out into the night life of L.A. in a slightly above the knee dress and look absolutely amazing. The heels and the legnth of the sbove the knee skirts absolutely enhance the legs, making them look longer, more shapelier and simply elegant. In addition, they are amazing with a pair of straight leg slacks. These shoes allow you transform yourself into a modern, classy diva.
With all this being said and having such a difficult time finding Betsey Johnson shoes, I decided to proudly display them on my website, featuring many of the fabulous styles and designs that only Betsey Johnson can conquer.
